Can't these stupid developers realize that vertical resolution is already at a high premium with the wide 'movie-viewing' screens we commonly use today and that such screens are NOT conducive to viewing page or book-shaped data as is so commonly available with the PDF format? Deliberately making the problem worse is just nonsensical.Įven the older standard UI, which you can switch back to if you look hard enough, takes up too much screen real estate (and using full-screen mode isn't necessarily convenient). Foxit has always been promoted as the lightweight viewer that was to outdo Adobe's lumbering behemoth-a feat that's easily accomplished by almost any other PDF viewer product on the market-yet Foxit now stands on the threshold to outdo even Adobe.Īlso, the new ribbon UI is absolutely hideous, it's ugly in the extreme but more importantly it takes up far too much valuable screen real estate.
Why the hell can't Foxit's developers leave well enough alone or just fix its longstanding limitations is beyond me. Recently, the Foxit PDF viewer has become bloated beyond all recognition-but not so followed by useful function. Well I've just uninstalled Foxit 6x.And the uninstall survey at Foxit never even gave me the chance to explain why I did so, so I'll do so here.
